I was doing high rep, low weight push presses today at 6:30am and I was wondering, who else are Moms in this awesome class? I also remembered the many exhausted Moms who tell me they don't have time or energy to exercise anymore. How many times have I heard comments like, "Oh, after motherhood, she let herself go." Um, hello, She was busy at her 24/7 JOB that required her 200% attention. Smh 🤦🏽♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Definitely, our bodies change post partum. Everything from holding pee becoming a daily struggle, to new "beauty marks" wrapping across our skin, to looser skin, low back pain from epidural.. upper back pain from breastfeeding, etc. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But we are our biggest advocate. YOU JUST MADE A PERSON. We ARE STRENGTH, Power. ✨ Remember how youthful & #onPoint you used to feel? We can try to meet our needs better, by asking for help. We need a lot of help these days because families live separately. I ask for help ALL THE TIME. My amazing Aunt @snoopygroupie comes to my office to watch Kaiyo for an hour each week. My Mom @kathy.sum watches Kaiyo for 7 hrs once a week. His Dad watches him the rest of my office hours. I woke up at 530am today bc my "Me-time" is limited. Kaiyo is so much happier when I'm happier. I am more present with him when I have my needs for sleep, some exercise, eating healthily, maintaining friendships and growing professionally are present in my life. We can do this. What are your needs? What are you missing? Let's Adjust 💯 and not be victims.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
